It all started at a Linux terminal. As a Debian Linux maintainer I ran production servers by hand and learned how real systems run — and where they break. On that foundation I built a keyword-based search advertising platform and its keyword search engine. My first startup. We built the T-commerce integration for Hyundai Home Shopping and, for Megabox·Cinus, a theater management system (TMS) that runs screening operations plus a network operations center (NOC) that monitors and controls multiple theaters from one place. I owned projects end to end — from requirements to deployment, several at once — and, as CFO, the business side too. 첫 창업. 현대홈쇼핑의 T-커머스 연동 시스템을 만들고, 메가박스·씨너스에는 영화관 상영 관리 솔루션(TMS)과 여러 극장을 한곳에서 통제·관리하는 중앙 관제 시스템(NOC)을 개발했습니다. 요구사항 정의부터 배포까지 직접 맡아 여러 프로젝트를 동시에 이끌었고, CFO로서 회사 운영까지 책임졌습니다.

I joined Coupang in 2011, early in its journey, and stayed for ten years. What to buy, how much, which fulfillment center it goes to, and how inventory stays balanced across the network — I led the design and development of the SCM systems that optimize those core decisions. Later I led the SCM Systems Korea backend organization, keeping them reliable through hypergrowth in a zero-downtime environment. At VROONG, Mesh Korea's logistics platform, I led fulfillment engineering. My team worked on how orders flow through fulfillment centers and out to the last mile — with DOS for orders and FMS for center operations — building systems that scale under heavy demand without adding complexity to day-to-day operations. 메쉬코리아의 물류 플랫폼 VROONG에서 풀필먼트 엔지니어링을 이끌었습니다. 주문 시스템 DOS와 센터 운영 시스템 FMS로 물류센터에서 라스트마일까지 이어지는 주문 흐름을 다듬었고, 수요가 몰려도 현장 운영을 복잡하게 만들지 않으면서 확장되는 시스템을 만드는 데 집중했습니다.

System Development Tech Lead

I moved to San Francisco to drive the technical roadmap for Qcells' growth in the U.S. market. I planned supply and inbound across an ocean-spanning network — from factory production plans through ocean shipping and port arrival to U.S. plants and distribution centers — and led the Qcells Sales Platform (QSP), which unified functions scattered across multiple country entities, as well as Systemizer 2.0 with our German team. Throughout, the job was bridging engineers, business and leadership across countries, and pulling scattered processes and data into one coherent system. 샌프란시스코로 건너가 Qcells의 미국 시장 성장을 위한 기술 로드맵을 이끌었습니다. 공장의 생산 계획에서 해상 운송과 입항, 미국 내 공장과 물류센터 입고까지 — 바다를 건너는 물류 네트워크 전체의 공급·입고 계획을 수립했고, 여러 나라 법인에 흩어져 있던 기능을 하나로 통합한 세일즈 플랫폼 QSP와, 독일 법인과 함께한 Systemizer 2.0도 이끌었습니다. 여러 나라의 엔지니어, 사업 조직, 경영진 사이를 잇고, 흩어진 프로세스와 데이터를 하나의 체계로 묶는 것이 핵심이었습니다.
